Click the products to be instantly directed to the site to purchase. These are my genuine everyday products – I feel as though a lot of blogging sites cheat their readers by solely advertising products that they’ve been paid to. I would always want to be honest with you guys and hope these products can be a part of your life. ALSO, just a heads up – A lot of these products are discounted at the moment so grab them whilst you can!
Another part of my beauty regime is my Beauty Box from ‘Look Fantastic’. Every month they send out a box of products worth £65. My last one was the ‘Jet Setter’ box and it’s so useful as you can find out what beauty products actually suit you without splashing out a load of cash on wasted items that end up not working with your skin type. It’s also very exciting when it comes in the post as you never know what’s going to be in the box!
The Bikini Hotel is in the top 100 design hotels in the world. It is jungle themed and one side of the hotel is actually complete glass so you can get a full view of the Berlin Zoo which also just happens to be in the hotel’s back garden pretty much!
The hotel is full of quirky little features including your own bicycles in your room to ride around the city in, hammocks, electronic bathtubs with an in-tub sound system and insightful books scattered around the hotel and your room in case you fancy a read with titles such as ‘How to be an Elegant Gentleman’. Not to mention the elevator having the soundtrack of David Bowie along with electronic artwork moving around the walls. Our room was an XL Urban Room. Which meant it was facing the city. The main feature point was the extreme, grey URBAN bathroom with the HUGE electronic bathtub gracing the middle of the room. Unfortunately we made such a mess in our room (my boyfriend doesn’t seem to grasp the concept that clothes can go in a wardrobe….not the floor haha) – I didn’t think it was best to photograph it so I photographed another room for y’all. Everything is the same as our room except our bathroom was a hell of a lot funkier haha! One of the main features of the hotel is the infamous Monkey Bar. People come from all over and queue for a loooong time to get into the popular bar – one of the perks of being a hotel guest is that you gain instant access with your keycard. Smooth. The bar faces the Berlin Zoo and is honestly the best atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed. This is the hotel ground floor BTW. OMG!And little features like this didn’t go amiss… Our stay overall was so fun. This hotel is full of so many amenities that you don’t want to step outside! The staff was ever so tentative and nothing was ever too much to ask.
I also did this shoot whilst in Berlin…
We also ventured to Mitte and I found my dream store where you could make your own jewellery. The beads and accessories were to-die-for kitsch and featured every sort of charm you could ever wish for from life-like miniature cats to mini records with Michael Jacksons face on it. This is the necklace I made. I also got a bracelet but I’m piecing it together myself as I thought it would be fun… I clearly like to make life difficult.
I should say Berlin was a success!…xo
On Friday evening Casey and I ventured to the coast for our one night holiday at No.5 The Lawn! Being so busy these days – we don’t actually have time to hop on a plane and jet off but this was just as good. If you want to book this yourself, the details are at the bottom of the post. We were pleasantly greeted by the lovely owners Jude and Mark who showed us to the incredible hideaway. I knew it would be nice but I had no idea it would be as cool as it was. There was an immediate feeling of zen and relaxation with the airy colours and bright open space. If you have me on snapchat (add me by the way! betsyblue) I was definitely showing off as I posted videos popping champagne (kindly given to us by the owners) in my robe in the incredible surroundings. Jude had even put out snacks ready for us too. Everything you need to relax and have a good time is there waiting for you!No.5 The Lawn is actually in Hastings but you could be anywhere in the world as it’s so tucked away and private.
My favourite feature was actually the pool. It was more like a giant bath as it was hot and had insane waterfall/jacuzzi features. I’m still wrinkly as I spent so much time in there. My other favourite feature was the cinema screen that magically comes out of the ceiling! The entertainment system includes thousands of movies as well and of course there’s an audio system which plays your music all through the house. Frank Ocean seemed to fit the scene for our stay as we played it through the pool.
The kitchen was cute as ever – not that we cooked in it of course. Pizza was indeed ordered! haha. You can slightly see the other hot tub on the patio outside the window! The bathroom featured a steamer in the shower! The artwork was on point…
Obviously I enjoyed my evening at No.5 The Lawn but my morning was just as good. We had the most amazing full english breakfast with fresh bread and iced coffee delivered to us at 10:30am on the dot. The night before, you choose from the extensive breakfast menu and write down the time you would like your breakfast. It was DELICIOUS. If you want to book – contact Jude directly: 07982845407 but DON’T forget to say that Betsy-Blue recommended you!

So, I’m going to be completely honest – this blog would be boring if I pretended everything was perfect all the time BUT I was a LITTLE disappointed at some of the outfit decisions this year at the Golden Globes. These gorgeous ladies just didn’t seem flaunt it as much as usual in my opinion – I felt like a lot of the celebs played it super safe… maybe they’re still feeling a little lazy from Christmas. However – there were some pleasant decisions that gave me dress envy! By the way – there will be NO worst dressed list – I may be stylishly honest but I DO NOT pit women against other women. ‘Worst dressed lists’ need to be abolished from every magazine and online publication.
These are my top 3!
Coincidentally, my favourite outfits this year are ALL in the pink palette! Maybe I’m feeling some kinda girly way but I just feel like these ladies actually made a real statement and took some risks.Kate Hudson, Cate Blanchett, Kate Bosworth
Kate Hudson got it all out and played a tough game in a VERY nude Michael Kor’s number – this colour is SO hard to pull off as it has the capability of completely drowning you out – especially as a white girl. And she manages to pull it off without having a major orange spray tan. People tend to over-compensate on the tan when wearing nude numbers like this in order to stand out. Cate Blanchett blew me away in this 1920’s style, PINK PINK PINK (the best pink i’ve ever seen actually) Givenchy Haute Couture frock. This dress is absolutely beautiful, full of detail and looks like it costs a million dollars. Definitely the most couture of the Golden Globes. And Kate Bosworth was another one of my firm favourites in this Dolce&Gabanna floor length gown. It fits her like a glove and compliments her tiny frame. The structure of the dress is incredible along with the jewel finish. I would kill for this dress. She looks absolutely on point – I don’t know how anyone would’t love this dress!
The Neutral Palette Gang!
These ladies didn’t quite make my top 3 but I still appreciated these beautiful looks. I’m a massive fan of Rosie HW and as usual, she slays in this vintage style, Atelier Versace dress. It is truly tasteful. I appreciate her neat hair and makeup choice that lets the dress do the talking. I’m not particularly familiar with Brie Larson but I think her Calvin Klein dress is stunning and extremely flattering – I do however feel like her she should have done an up-do hair wise. A slick ponytail or bun would have given her a bit of edge with such a form-fitting dress. Floor length, glittering gowns have the danger of looking ‘prom day’ without the right hair and makeup. Rooney Mara also impressed me with her fragile, detailed, Alexander Mcqueen frock. I love the vintage-rag doll look that she’s gone for. Her vampy hair and makeup compliment the dress like a treat.
Brie Larson, Rosie Huntington Whitely, Rooney Mara
Admittedly, I have a little crush on Lily James. Even though she did beat me to the role of Cinderella – But we’ll forgive her as she seems like a really cool girl. I think this white Marchesa gown looks perfect on her – still keeping to her fairytale theme but she looks sexy at the same time with the sheerness of the gown and her smokey makeup. Good choice girl!
The Red Ladies
Jennifer Lawrence, Amber Heard, Zendaya ColemanThese aren’t my favourite dresses but these ladies deserve a mention! Jennifer Lawrence who i’m a huge fan off played it safe in this cut-out Dior dress. I appreciate the minimal/modern look of the dress but what brought it to life was the large chain necklace! Always trust an accessory! Amber Heard also looked stunning as usual in this pretty Gucci Couture frock. She almost looked royal! I felt like the dress was actually more of a copper colour than red – very unusual. Zendaya who always kills it for me did resemble the flamenco dancer emoji a tiny bit but she still slayed!! The colour looked beautiful against her complexion and the deep V neck added that sexy touch for her. She looked incredible.
UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!
