So yesterday I did a shoot and interview with the lovely guys at ‘The Comb’ on the sunny but bitterly cold Southbank! Through The Comb is a fashion app that ‘combs’ through 2 million products to find the fashion item you’re looking for or similar items. It’s so great for when you see something you like in a magazine or on TV. Check them out! My interview with them should be on their app soon.
Jacket – Zara, Braces – Chanel, Bag – Love Moschino, Boots – Gucci, Choker – NastyGal
Hope you’ve all been enjoying my new app and/or my new membership feature! For those that had issues downloading – there was A LOT of traffic on the night of the launch, if you try now it will be sure to work just fine for you.
Anyway, the other day I filmed a new cover for you all. It should be released shortly but I thought I’d share some pictures that were shot on the day by the talented Callum Mills. And as this is a fashion blog – obvi I’m going to tell you where all the clothes are from that I’m wearing! P.S. I not cannot leave the house without tying a neck scarf/bandanna round my neck.
A common problem ladies always face in winter is HOW to look chic when you just want to wrap up in 1000 layers! There would have to be a VERY good excuse to catch me wearing a skirt in this weather. But I seemed to make an outfit work today that I was proud of AND kept the chills away – the ingredients to keep me warm simply included leather on leather. Yesterday morning I woke up to my favourite package – a HUGE package from Goldie London! As most of you know – I adore their brand, their clothing is sleek, on-trend and actually made really well – the quality of the clothing is faultless. Anyway, the package included a fair bit of leather items… which created this…
So, everything I’m wearing in this outfit post comes separately – I’m not sure if the garments were actually made to work together but I decided to take a risk and make a VERY leather outfit including a leather shirt AND leather overalls – and it really WORKS. Also, when you want to wear a co-ordinating block colour – for instance ‘all black’, you need to commit to it (this means NO other colours at all… not even jewellery in my opinion) and expect to stand out.
Still in sunny LA. I’m staying at friends but I spent past couple of nights in a cool art deco hotel and interestingly enough – it turns out Marilyn Monroe used to live at this exact hotel! She lived here for 3 years and there’s many iconic glamour shoots of hers that were shot here also. Thought that was pretty cool seeing as it’s such an unknown hotel.
BACK TO THE CLOTHES. Wearing my new favourite roll neck from Nobody’s Child who i’m loving right now.. I blogged about them last week too. BUT I’m pairing this roll neck with my epiiiiiic new leather piece. You all know how much I love a leather jacket… this is what dream are seriously made of.
First of all I’d just like to say a massive thanks to one of my fans Emelene Kennedy for the cutest artwork of me in some of the outfits featured on this site and my instagram (@betsy_oty). You are truly talented!
Moving on – this is a post I’ve always wanted to do! I wanted to share with you some items in my wardrobe that I treasure. I had a lot of fun doing a personal photo-shoot with these lovely pieces – they were great models! (haha)Moschino Biker Bag
This is probably top of my favourite clothing items ever owned. I searched high and low for one of these for years and finally brought it from a private seller. I love it so much that I wore it for my first music video with Only The Young for our debut single ‘I Do’.
So I recently did a shoot with the incredibly talented Stacey Clarke (click for her website) and my amazing Glam Squad Kristina Theodoris (makeup) and Charlie Wilkinson (hair). Here is the first series… keep your eyes peeled for next weeks second series with a completely different look! I’m loving this sci-fi/chic look. What do you think? Oh.. and you can totally buy the whole outfit at the bottom of this post!!
