I think this is the post everybody has been waiting for on ‘It’s Thursday Tho?’. Am I right?
The day HAS ARRIVED – I have my very OWN collection available to buy on www.betsybluefashion.com
This is NOT merch. These are genuine items that I have designed with every type of girl in mind. You don’t have to be a fan of mine to purchase these clothes. These are designed for EVERYONE. The theme of the line is cowboy/western inspired. There are tracksuits with guns ‘n’ roses graphics, lace t-shirt dresses with edgy prints, mesh bodysuits, lace up party dresses and jumpsuits, star print gym wear, star print dresses, lace bardot tops and cool AF cut out tee’s with slogans such as ‘A Cowboy Stole My Heart’. There’s also HANDBAGS with the cutest cowboy boot charms!
A LOT of hard work has been put into this collection; with my filming schedule it was hard but I was determined to release before Christmas. So there’s no excuse to not treat yourselves to some gorgeous outfits for all the Christmas festivities and parties that approach. Or even whack some of the items on your Christmas lists or buy for your friends and family! They are guaranteed to adore. Each package comes with a custom postcard.
Here are some photos of the LINE!
We shot the edgy campaign shoot on a real LIFE Western village outside London (FUN FACT: Johnny Depp filmed ‘Finding Neverland’ there!). A massive shoutout to our incredible hair and makeup team Charlie Wilkinson and Abby Rose and Tomo Kembery on the camera!Follow the brand new instagram page for my brand at: @betsybluefashionTweet
So I just wanted to talk about a campaign I was recently introduced. The campaign called ‘I Can Never Be Too Much’ is for design house Georg Jensen and stars five strong females who have defied conventions and risen to the tops of their industries. A completely different approach to design brand advertising – it’s so revitalising to see a campaign video with a serious message as opposed pouts and poses.
I think this Georg Jensen campaign is particularly significant at this moment in time – with the current news such as Donald Trump’s presidential reign and the on-going fight for equal wages as well as many other problems us women face all over the world due to simply being stereotyped not as ‘able’ as men. Which is completely false obviously.
Whilst researching into this campaign I also found out some interesting facts that you guys might want to take in:
Lets RAISE these percentages of women in the workplace, reduce the percentages of rape, trafficking and abuse (altogether – it’s just as abominable for a man to go through that) and start making the world more aware that men and women are EQUAL and just as ABLE as each other. Let’s make more campaigns like Georg Jensen’s viral and show everyone these incredible women doing these ‘usually’ stereotyped ‘man-orientated’ jobs. These strong woman have showed that you can defy conventions and rise to the top of your game!
The past week has been MEGA hence no blog post last week (I’m so sorry it will NEVER happen again!!). This post shall definitely make up for it!
In my break during filming the other day I found this awesummm little vintage shop and ultimately found this JEM of a jacket. It might just be my favourite thing in my wardrobe at present. I paired it with a sheer leotard, a DIY choker and my new FURRY Stan Smith’s. Links to items/similar options at the bottom!
As this jacket is a one-of-a-kindddd kinda thang I’ve linked a similar badge style jacket that’s available to order now.
So if you follow me on the old Instagram I’m sure you’ll know how much I LOVE the HOOK LDN sunglasses. The heavens opened and the sun beamed through when these sunglasses came into my life – which is pretty much an oxymoron seeing as they’re meant to keep the sun out of your eyes. But whatever, they’re great.
Lets hope I don’t leave any of these chic frames on the District line.
The amazing team who created this brand initially come from the music industry. They were inspired by pop culture ultimately bringing their love of music and fashion together to create these sleek/edgy frames. Perfect for ‘It’s Thursday Tho?’ !!!
The frames are sold online (click here) and in Harvey Nichols at a pretty decent price. FENDI lookin’ with a Michael Kor’s price. What more could you wish for? These white sunnies are called ‘Clique White Marble’
Clique in Silver Grey
Happy HOLIDAYS! This time of year will never get old for me – I LOVE it. I always have my very own tree in my room and decorate it with my many decorations I’ve been collecting for years – however this year I was given a new addition.. the most important addition to a tree in fact. The ANGEL. My mum surprised me with this amazing Alice & Olivia bespoke Angel tree topper. She’s more like an actual doll than just a decoration. And she’s SO CHIC. She’s definitely something I will be keeping forever and putting on my tree for the rest of my life. Links to purchase her are on this page.
So here’s a little shopping tip for all you fashionistas. I love sharing a good old shopping secret with you all! On Sunday I took a trip to Rokit vintage store in Brick Lane for a little shopping spree! Londons flooded with vintage stores but theres only actually a selected few worth going to that isn’t just full of junk – Rokit being one of them. They have locations spread all over London but Brick Lane is actually blessed with two stores on the same street. Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect inside the store and what I bought! I looooove it!
